Recruitment of Indian Forest Service Vacancies
Union Public Service Commission has released the Job Advertisement for the hiring of 150 Indian Forest Service Exam 2023 Posts. Name of the Posts: Forest Officer (IFS).
Exam Centre: Agartala (Tripura).
Total Number of vacancy: 150 Posts.
For UR/OBC/SC/ST & EWS Candidates.
Apply mode: Online
Male & Female both candidates can apply for these posts.
Educational Qualification:
A candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized board or University.
Age Limit:
- Candidates age should be between 21 to 32 years.
- Age relaxation 5 years is applicable to SC/St & 3 Years for OBC Candidates.
Salary details: The entry-level salary of Indian forest service officer is INR 56,100 and the salary goes up to INR 2,25,000 for the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests.
Mode of Selection:
The competitive examination comprises two successive stages :
(i) PreliminaryExamination (Objective Type) for the screening &
selection of candidates for Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination; and
(ii) Main Examination (Written and Interview) for the
selection of candidates against the vacancies identified and reported for the
Indian Forest Service Examination.
Note: The interview will carry 300 marks (with no minimum qualifying marks).
Marks thus obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination (written part as well as interview) would determine their final ranking.
Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answersmarked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
How to Apply:
Candidates are required to apply Online only by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination.

Application Fee:
Candidates applying (excepting Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) either bydepositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit card.
