Income Tax Department has released a recruitment notification for total 71 posts of Inspector, Tax Assistant & Multi Tasking Staff. Candidates who are willing to apply should have 10th Pass or Graduate. Please check eligibility Criteria mentioned below.
Name of the posts:
i) Inspector of Income Tax:
Qualifications: Candidate should have Degree of a recognized university or equivalent is needed to apply for this recruitment.
Age Limit: 18 years to 30 years
ii) Tax Assistant:
Qualifications: Candidate should have a Degree of a recognized university or equivalent and having Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour is required.
Age Limit: 18 years to 27 years
iii) Multi Tasking Staff (MTS):
Qualifications: Candidate should be Matriculation or equivalent pass from a recognized Board/Council.
Age Limit: 18 years to 25 years.
Salary details: Candidates are eligible to get salary for
- Inspector of Income tax: Level 7 (44,900/- to 1,42,400/-)
- Tax Assistant: Level 4 (25,500/- to 81,100/-)
- Multi Tasking Staff: Level 1 (18,000/- to 56,900/-)
Selection Process: They have to initially give the written exam to move ahead in the selection process.
- Written exam: Written Examination consists 125 questions and the total Marks will be 250 marks. The date of the written exam has not been released officially.
- Skill Test: The selection criteria is different for the different job role. For the tax assistant position, typing is mandatory whereas for other specific questions will be asked based on their job profile.
- Document Verification: After both of these stages, there will be a document verification process in which the candidates will have to take their original documents on the provided official address of Income Tax Department.
